Jason is an experienced new marketing and PR professional currently working at Edelman Digital UK. His clients include Shell, Everyclick.com and more; former clients include Microsoft (Surface, Mac BU, Windows Vista and Xbox Corporate), Starbucks, Ebay Motors, Kaiser Permanente and others. He combines agency experience with a strong background in community building and online PR efforts with traditional marketing techniques in the games industry industry at WizKids Inc. where he served as Communications Manager.
Jason's digital and community experience stretches back to 1990, when he dialed into Prodigy from a 1200-baud modem on a Tandy 1000 computer that had no hard drive. He has been online in some capacity ever since, as a community member, moderator and transparent public relations representative - sometimes all at the same time.
His hobbies include writing and gaming, and Jason is quietly building a portfolio of gaming and fiction writing credits as well as maintaining two blogs, one about marketing and general interest, the other chronicling his recent move to London.
He lives in North London with his wife and two cats, is an avowed caffeine fiend, and watches far too many obscure horror movies for his own good. In the past, he has called such diverse cities as New York, Seattle, and Tulsa “home,” graduated from Drury University with Majors in English Literature and Writing and a Minor in Religion, and gained real-world experience as a social worker before a lucky break in the games industry. After a couple glasses of scotch, he might admit to working for filmmaker Michael Moore, too.
